About World Partnership Walk: The World Partnership Walk is Canada's largest annual event dedicated to raising funds and increasing awareness to fight global poverty.  Now in its 27th year, the Walk is organized by volunteers in ten cities across Canada, and attracts tens of thousands of Canadians united in a common effort to bring hope and renewal to some of the poorest communities in the world.  In 2010 nearly 40,000 Canadians came together to raise close to $6 million.  For more information, click here. The 2011 Walk, in Victoria alone, raised more than $202,080.

About Aga Khan Foundation Canada:100% of funds raised by you are used by Aga Khan Foundation Canada to help alleviate poverty and build sustainable solutions in the poorest regions of the world.  These funds support meaningful projects identified and implemented by local communities – projects that revitalize rural economies, ensure clean water and sanitation, strengthen community-based organizations and educate new generations of girls and women.  For more information, click here.

Tess Menges graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Major in Communications. In May of 2008 she joined Public Works as the Supply Officer for the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises (OSME).  The OSME shows suppliers how to identify opportunities, gain access to key government contacts and learn more about the bidding process.  Tess is a key contact for small and medium businesses that want to supply goods and services to the federal government. Through seminars and workshops Tess helps companies understand the federal procurement system and navigate the government websites to perform targeted market research.
